Poor Chell Trophy Form Continues

Wivenhoe Reserves poor form in this seasons Chell Trophy continued as Brightlingsea ran out 1-5 winners at the Maple Tree Cars Stadium. Brightlingsea took the lead after ten minutes, which was quickly cancelled out by Ben Fowler with a third of the game gone. Brightlingsea retook the lead shortly after and doubled their advantage just before half time.

A change in formation in the second half worked defensively for wivenhoe. A freak goal gave Brightlingsea a fifth goal as Ryan Gooch's pass was intercepted (by the referee) which landed straight at the feet of the Brightlingsea centre forward.
