Following a promising point away from home in the season opener, the Dragons were unchanged for the first home game of the new season.
The game saw a flurry of early half chances before settling into an even contest but the game changed in a disappointing two minutes spell for Wivenhoe. Harwich scored in the 40th minute and 42nd minute. The start of the second period secured the win for the visitors, a third goal came within minutes of the restart.
The highlight for Wivenhoe was a stoppage time freekick consolation goal from Max Long which was struck beautifully round the wall and into the top corner.
The Dragons are back in home action on Saturday against FC Parson Drove, a chance to bounce back at the Taylor Wimpey Stadium. Kick off 3pm
