The majority of last season's squad have re-signed, with a strong focus on local players who have progressed up through the Wivenhoe Town youth setup and began to feature regular last season for the First Team.

A number of new signings have also been added, with the return of prolific striker Karl Swanborough the headline signing. He is joined by Ethan Lane, Tyler Mouat, Ben Thomas, Harry Caplen and Fraser Northover who also joined the Wivenhoe Town squad ahead of the new season.

A vastly experienced goalkeeper who joined the club in November 2025 having most recently been at FC Romania in the South Division. Previous clubs include the likes of Hullbridge Sports, Basildon United and Bowers & Pitsea.

Joined the club from Haverhill Borough shortly at the start of the 2024/25 season. Hughes is a vastly experienced player who has played much higher up the non-league pyramid. He started his career at Colchester United as an attacking player and featured for the likes of Heybridge Swifts, Thurrock, AFC Sudbury, Brantham Athletic and Stanway Rovers in midfield and defence.

Now firmly a central midfielder after starting his Dragons career as a goalkeeper and covered the position for a spell last season. Joined the club shortly into the 2024/25 season from Little Oakley. A central midfielder who is composed on the ball with a good range of passing, he quickly impressed the Wivenhoe supporters with his contribution on the pitch.

Another young player to have progressed from the Under 23s last season to earn a regular inclusion with the senior side. He impressed with his ability on the ball and work rate in midfield.

Returned to Wivenhoe Town in December 2024 having previously been a key part of the Dragons squad in 2021/22 that contested the promotion playoffs. A technically good holding midfielder, he stepped up to Premier Division Long Melford when he left Wivenhoe.

‘Swanny’ is a prolific striker who re-joined the club for his second spell this summer. A brilliant goalscoring record at this level and higher, he has spent much of his playing career at Burnham Ramblers, but also had a spell at Cornard United last season. He will be looking to pick up where he left off for Wivenhoe Town, scoring lots of goals of every type.
