Wivenhoe Town Reserves will be competing in the Essex and Suffolk Border League this season. The side will be managed by Elliot Walker, supported by assistant Stuart Vincent.

The Dragons start this weekend with a home game against Hedinghams United on Saturday 8th August - kick off 3pm

The club made a decision to transfer the Thurlow Nunn U23s side to the Essex and Suffolk Border League (ESBL) as a Reserve side. The application to the ESBL was accepted and the Reserves were placed in Division One.

This also came at the same time as many other local clubs also leaving the Thurlow Nunn U23s Division. It seemed more logical for the U23s to play in the ESBL and play competitive matches against other senior sides in the local area.

It is felt that this more will help us attract more players to play competitive football and aid those at the club in their development whilst helping them to progress to the First Team.

The first four fixtures have been announced:

8th Aug - Home - Hedinghams United - 3pm
15th Aug - Away - Tavern - 3pm
22th Aug - Home - AFC Pettygate
29th Aug - Away - Silver End United

There will be no charge for entry to Reserves fixtures this season.
