Joe McCracken has decided to join Stanway Rovers after receiving a 7 day approach from the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division club. After stepping up from the Reserves last season, Joe played 28 times for the Dragons and scored 6 goals. He last featured on Wednesday evening as a second half substitute against in the goalless draw at the GMP Plant Hire Stadium against Ipswich Wanderers.

We wish Joe all the best and thank him for his efforts and contribution whilst a Wivenhoe Town player. First team Manager Mo Osman could not speak highly enough about Joe, stating that he has been a real pleasure to work with at the Dragons.

Mo has also confirmed the signing of former Brightlingsea Regent forward Liam Whittaker.
