Adam Bethell is the new Manager of Wivenhoe Town U23s. Bethell has been the assistant to recently appointed First team Manager Jeff Welsh for the past two seasons. Bethell is a former Wivenhoe Town player who made over 100 appearances for the club in the Isthmian and Southern League.

Adam said the following on his new role: "My best days as a player were at this club. I was fortunate enough to play in the Isthmian league, Southern league, FA Cup, and FA Trophy with Wivenhoe Town. This club is in my heart. so when the opportunity to work with the U23s came up a couple of years ago, I jumped at the chance.

Taking over as U23s Manager is a fantastic opportunity for me and the boys to carry on the brilliant development of players we have seen recently with a number of boys stepping up to First Team football in the last couple of seasons. I will be working tirelessly to ensure the next generation of Wivenhoe Town footballers get the same opportunities."

Bethell will continue to work closely with First Team Manager Jeff Welsh, aiming to continue to help players to progress from Youth football into the U23s and then to regular First Team appearances
