The second period began with Frenford down to ten men due to the new sin bin rule. Wivenhoe were unable to take advantage and it was the home side then doubled their lead. Tom Lakin got one back when he was fouled in the area, picked himself up and slotted the penalty away. Tom Lakin and Dean Merrett then had good chances to equalise before Frenford added a third.
Subsitute Lewis Stantiall then scored to make it 3 - 2. Frenford were reduced to ten men and Wivenhoe pushed for an equaliser with both Lakin and Merrett unable to take good opportunities.
