Laurence Whymark - Goalkeeper - New Signing
Keeper Laurence Whymark comes to the Dragons from Bowers & Pitsea. He has also played at Heybridge Swifts, Halstead Town, Stansted and Billericay Town. A good keeper who will be challenging for the number one shirt.

Ben Gallifant - Goalkeeper - Returning Player (70 games 3 goals)
Goalkeeper Gallifant is back at Wivenhoe Town after a season away at Little Oakley. The former Ipswich Town trainee has played 70 matches for the Dragons in central midfield and as a keeper, scoring three goals.

Matt Coppen - Defender - New Signing
A central defender who is well known to the management team. His former teams include Heybridge Swifts, Burnham Ramblers and more recently Halstead Town. A very good defender who reads the game well.

Dan Williams - Defender - New Signing
A solid right back who is versatile enough to play in other positions. He is returning from a long-term injury. He previously played a lot of University first team football for UEA. Returning to football after a long term injury.

Harry Gregory - Defender - New Signing
A former Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge trainee. He is a solid defender who likes to get forward and create chances.

Gareth Hutchings - Utility - New Signing
An ex-Heybridge Swifts player, Hutchings can play in numerous positions. he is very comfortable on the ball and good in the air. Gareth improves our squad immensely.

Jack Mead - Midfielder / Defender - New Signing
Joining us from Essex Senior League side Saffron Waldon Town. Jack was an ever present in their first team last season. He can play either central midfield or at left back.

David Lopez - Midfielder - Returning Player (35 games 1 goal)
Re-joins Wivenhoe Town having spent a season and a half at Premier Division Long Melford. Impressed his previous spell with his composure and quality on the ball. He is now fully fit.

Brandon Bennett - Midfielder - New Signing
A young central midfielder who is a good prospect. A very intelligent and technical midfield player who has spent time at the academies of Tottenham Hostpur and Millwall.

Peter Maina - Forward - Returning Player (44 games 4 goals)
Maina is a defenders nightmare, a tricky player with bags of pace who in his last spell at the club demonstrated an ability to score memorable goals. His former clubs include Soham Town Rangers, Stanway Rovers, Stansted and most recently Little Oakley.

Tom Lakin - Forward - New Signing
Tom Lakin played his football at Saffron Walden Town for the last two seasons. A quick striker who is good in the air, he is another quality addition to the Dragons squad

Ross James - Defender (9 games 3 goals)
Wivenhoe Town Captain who signed for the club during last season. He impressed with a series of high energy performances and led from the front with three goals for the Dragons. Formerly of Stanway Rovers and Heybridge Swifts.

Tim Dennis - Defender (217 games 17 goals)
Having played over 200 games for Wivenhoe Town he is amongst the club's leading appearance makers. An experienced central defender, he returned to the club at the end of 2018-19 season having departed for Colne Athletic in the previous summer.

Angus Poole - Defender - (11 games 2 goals)
A central defender who joined the Dragons in February 2019. He was previously at Hullbridge Sports. He is a dominate defender who makes his presence felt at the back and is a threat when getting forward for set pieces.

Josh Chapman - Defender (9 games 3 goals)
A young right back who came through the Youth and Reserves teams at Heybridge Swifts. Joined the club in February 2019 and impressed with a string of strong performances and goals.

Mike Fitzgibbon - Defender / Midfielder (3 games 0 goals)
Joined the club with manager Gary Monti. He is an experienced defender or midfielder who includes numerous non-league clubs in his playing history including AFC Sudbury, Stanway Rovers and Hadleigh United.

Sam Holden - Midfielder (6 games 0 goals)
Holden is a central midfielder who joined the club last season after Gary Monti was appointed manager. An experienced player with good vision, he was a Colchester united trainee who has spent time at Heybridge Swifts.

Sam Mead - Midfielder - (7 games 1 goal)
A central attacking midfielder and another to join last season with Gary Monti. His former clubs include Great Baddow, Heybridge Swifts and Saffron Walden Town. He impressed with his composure and ability on the ball.

Dean Merrett - Midfielder - (4 games 0 goals)
A central midfielder who is a former Welsh amateur player, he has experience of playing in Germany. Joined from Tiptree Jobserve in February 2019.

Lewis Stantiall - Midfielder - (1 game 1 goal)
A left winger who joined towards the end of last season. Former clubs include Stansted and Coggeshall United. He brings lots of pace to the team and can cause real problems for defenders.

George Hart - Midfielder / Forward - (3 games 0 goals)
A winger or forward who joined towards the end of last season but saw his season cut short by injury. A quick attacking player who includes Heybridge Swifts and Burnham Ramblers amoungst his former clubs.

Myles Passley - Forward - (52 games 12 goals)
Last season's top scorer and supports player of the season. A versatile forward who can play through the middle as a target man and holding the ball up, or in wide positions where his ability on the ball makes him a direct attacker. Formerly of Cornard United and Halstead Town.
