Three months into the 2019/20 season here are all the key Wivenhoe statistics

Games
Three months into the season and Wivenhoe Town have played 22 competitive games, split exactly between 12 league games and 12 cup games. The fixtures have averaged 4.5 goals per game with Wivenhoe having scored 63 goals and conceded 38. Clean sheets have been kept in three games.

The Dragons have won 14 games but are yet to draw. Seven of the wins have come in the cup, with two wins against higher division opposition, three against other Step Six sides and two against lower division opposition.

The Dragons remain in two cup competitions with games in early November:

Away at Halstead Town on 5th November - Tolleshunt D'Arcy Memorial Cup
Away at Little Oakley on 12th November - First Division Knock Out Cup.

Wivenhoe's biggest winning margins were a 7 - 1 home cup win Newbury Forest and a 6 - 0 home win against Fire United. The Dragons have scored more than five on three further occasions. The Dragons suffered one heavy defeat by 7 - 1 away at Maldon & Tiptree in the Essex Senior Cup.

The League
Going into this weekend's fixtures, Wivenhoe Town sit in third place within the promotion positions. The league is currently tight and yet to settle down with teams having played between 7 and 15 games.

Wivenhoe's plus 16 goal difference is the best in the league with the 32 goals scored the second best tally. 24 of the goals have come at the Blackstone Stadium.

No player has scored a hat-trick, but Merrett has managed a brace on three occasions. Peter Maina and Ross James have scored twice in two different games. Cj Cabulo, David Lopez and George Hart are the other players to have scored two in a game.

Milestones

Peter Maina has passed 50 Wivenhoe Town appearances this season. He is currently at 62 games with 11 goals.

Tim Dennis remains the leading appearance maker (and leading scorer!) currently at the club having reached 233 games and 20 goals. The milestone of 250 Wivenhoe Town appearances is in sight this season.

David Lopez is currently two games short of 50 for Wivenhoe. Ben Gallifant is 15 short of 100 Wivenhoe appearances.
